The Kasten of Galsaun manor

General description

In 1492 a chapel was dedicated in the Kasten of Galsaunj manor; it can be identified from the outside by its delicate bell tower. It contains a Renaissance altar of 1594 and a Baroque altar from the period around 1730.

Description to arrive at destination
Approach by car
To get there, take the Niedervinschgauaustraße SS.38. Between Ciardes and Castelbello, turn north into the hamlet of Galsaun. The box is located at the northern end of the fraction.

Arrival by bus or train
The journey can be made to Castelbello or Ciardes. Here you will find a station of the Val Venosta railway (Merano-Mals). From here the Kasten can be reached on foot.
Parking
There are parking facilities in the village.
