To the Waterfalls Trafoi

The hiking trail to the waterfalls is a circular route and leads to three beautiful thundering waterfalls.

General description

The path to the Waterfalls starts and ends at the three Holy Wells. The comfortable hiking trail, with slight inclines, is about 6.4 km long and offers cultural experiences as well as a stop at the beautiful waterfalls.

Route description

From the national park house naturatrafoi follow the signs "Drei Brunnen" to the church of Trafoi. From there continue to the campsite and then follow path no. 18 to the Holy three Wells. At the beginning of the path nr. 9 you walk to the waterfalls. Afterwards it goes back to the starting point.

Description to arrive at destination

From Spondigna/Spondinig via the street to the Stelvio Pass SS 38 to Trafoi. This peaceful pilgrimage site lies approximately three kilometers from the village of Trafoi and is a worthwhile destination for summer and winter excursions.

Parking

In order to get to the starting point of the Waterfalls, the parking area next to the Hotel Bella Vista in Trafoi is the most suitable. From there it is a two-hour walk to the Waterfalls.

There's also the possibility to park right next to the Holy three Fountains. From there it is a one hour walk to the Waterfalls.

Public transport

Those who don't want to travel to Trafoi by private car have the possibility to use public transport. With the bus line 271, you can get from Prato allo Stelvio/Spondigna to Trafoi in about half an hour. The bus stop is right next to the Hotel Bella Vista. From there is it approx. a two hours walk to the waterfalls.
