Hintergrat Trail

A beautiful but technically more demanding trail and mountain run that passes directly beneath the Ortler, Monte Zebrù and Königspitze triumvirate.

From the Sulden cable car valley station, we follow trail no. 2 on the orographic left to the suspension bridge at the end of the valley. From here, the same trail no. 2, now steeper, leads to the mountain hut Hintergrathütte. We follow trail no. 3, which leads along gravel and partly sloping terrain to the mountain station of the Langenstein-Orso chairlift. Descending to the valley we continue on trail no. 3 until we meet trail no. 9, which takes us back to our starting point just above the valley floor.
