Patzleid Trail

General description

A short but challenging route to discover the trails around the hamlet of Agums.

Route description
The route starts at the aquaprad visitor centre and leads along the main road in the direction of the hamlet of Agums. At the upper Suldenbach bridge we turn left and walk for about 1 km into the valley before ascending in 3 serpentines to the irrigation channel path “Frauwaal”, which brings us back into the valley before reaching the locality of Patzleid via 5 serpentines. From here we follow trail no. 11, which leads quite plain to the Wartamsteinhof farm. We walk along a large forest road until we meet the asphalted road. Walking briefly downhill, we soon turn right onto trail no. 12. It leads us back to the irrigation channel path “Frauwaal”, trail no. 9, where we walk further north until we meet the “Gumperle” theme trail. We briefly follow it northwards until it changes its direction and takes us to the church of St. George in Agums. From there we briefly ascend again to the irrigation channel path “Frauwaal” and follow it until we reach the Agums mountain road. We follow it down the valley to get back to the starting point.
